Now TV the streaming movies and television service which has recently been launched by Sky has now started to invite subscribers to take part in beta trials to watch Sky Sports content on the service.
The trial will see access to all six of the popular Sky Sports channels made available for free which will allow users to sample the range of live sport which is currently shown including live Premier League football, International Cricket, and NFL.
Users have been asked to register for the trial on the Sky Sports website with a limited window of availability which runs from the 7th December – 10th December, and potentially only a few spaces available according to Sky.
It is expected that if the beta trial of Sky Sports is successful, then a full roll out of the service will begin in 2013, with all Now TV viewers able to gain access to the most popular content from the Sky Sports digital television channels.
Up until now users have only been able to access content from Sky Movies with users able to purchase films on a pay per view basis or obtain a full subscription to enjoy an unlimited amount of movies each month, and in 2013 Now TV is also expecting to launch more content from the standard range of Sky digital television channels including Sky1, Sky Atlantic, and Sky Living.
The Sky Sports website has reminded those who want to register to do so quickly by saying “We’ve only got a few spaces, so don’t hang about.”
