TV and movies streaming service Lovefilm has announced that it has signed a major content deal with Twentieth Century Fox.

The new deal gives the TV and movies streaming service Lovefilm the upper hand on its rival Netflix as the lucrative new deal gives Lovefilm subscribers access to the large range of films from Fox after they have been shown on the digital TV movies channel Sky Movies.
The TV and movies streaming service will start to give users access to films which were shown in cinemas in 2011 from March 2013, and there will also be a range of television programs to accompany this including all of the seasons of 24, Prison Break and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The new deal is one in a long line of deals which Lovefilm has agreed recently following content deals with Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, NBC, Universal, Entertainment One, StudioCanal, ABC, BBC and ITV. The new Fox deal will also mean that DVD users of the Lovefilm service will also be able to receive the large amount of Fox content by its rental by post business.
Lovefilm has also recently announced that it will make high definition programs and movies available through its TV and movies streaming service.
