BT Vision has a range of high definition content through its BT Vision TV on demand catalogue.  It currently does not have any HD channels as the BT Vision service is based primarily on Freeview, with BT Vision’s TV on demand catalogue built into it.

What can I watch in HD?

BT Vision has a massive library of TV on demand content which can be viewed in high definition.  This ranges from movies and sports, to individual series depending on what you purchase from the BT Vision TV on demand catalogue.

You can either subscribe to a pack from BT Vision which will give you access to the TV on demand libraries on the service starting from around £12.50 or you can purchase pay per view content on BT Vision which starts at around £2.50 per movie or program depending on what you want to watch, TV programs on BT Vision start from 50p per show.

What equipment do you get?

The only box that is currently available on the BT Vision service is known as the Vision+ Box.  It has all the functionality that you need to start watching HD content on BT Vision and also has a PVR included in it meaning that you can pause, record and rewind your digital TV service on BT Vision so that you won’t miss anything should you need to step away from the TV.

The Vision+ Box allows you to store up to 80 hours worth of programming on the box, and is also 3D ready so that you can watch 3D content in addition to high definition content on BT Vision.

What does it cost?

There is no additional monthly fee for high definition from BT Vision as it’s included in your value pack that you can choose to subscribe to, or you can go pay per view, which means that you only pay for the content that you want to watch.  At the moment, high definition films on BT Vision cost around £2.50 per title, and TV programs in HD start at around 50p depending on what you want to watch.  The most cost effective way to watch high definition content on BT Vision is to subscribe to one of the value packs which can be purchased as part of a TV, Broadband and Phone bundle with BT.
