If the price of 3D TV is reasonable and affordable, I'm sure the rest of the world will have at least one in each household too.

dear sir richard
Your Tivo won't be a 'weapon against sky' until you get round to actually providing cable access to everyone who's been deprived by your closure of the existing 'old' Tivo EPG service ...

The Panasonic Viera range of TV's seem to be a little picky about Freeview signals. They do not like signals that are too strong. When the signal coming from the aerial is too strong, it can give problems which are similar to those found when the signals are too weak. You may find that your signals are too strong from Waltham on your aerial, and this can be cured by fitting a variable aerial attenuator, which you can get for less than £10 from Maplin Electronics, or from several suppliers on Ebay. It fits inline with your aerial cable. The reason for the increase in signal from several of the Sandy Heath muxes is that Sandy Heath is now digital only, and the power has been increased by 9 times. This power increase made my Panasonic TXP46G20B plasma go very wobbly on Freeview until I fitted an attenuator.

I have just recently got one of these TV's after seeing it at the Gadget Show Live Show last week. The picture quality of this product is very good with the LED technology to make the colours and picture very crisp.

This is the Cinema 3D version and is LG's latest 2011 range. With the 3D it gives you full 1080p HD quality of pictures where as some 3D TV's used to be only able to give you half that.

When testing the 3D on this tv it is just as LG states on their website and is just like the 3D that you see at the cinema but with one better side to it, it will not cost you alot to have all your friends and family around to see a 3D film or just you the 2D conversion to watch 2D pictures in 3D.

The Tv comes with 7 pairs of passive 3D glasses in the box and if that is not enough for you, JUST USE THE ONES YOU GET FROM THE CINEMA. Also if you need to buy anymore they will only cost around £2 a apair unlike the active ones.

The viewing angle of this tv is also very good, the only place I found that you can not watch 3D on this tv is if you look at it from about 1 or 2 foot from above, any where else you can see the screen perfectly.

With the standard tv picture this tv brings the picture upto near HD quality due to the LED tech inside.

I HAVE HESITATED IN BUYING A 3D TV DUE TO PRICE AND QUALITY, BUT WHEN I SAW THIS ONE AND TESTED IT I HAD TO HAVE IT.

overall this is a brilliant all round TV, if you have thought hard about getting a tv and decided not to due to the tech of 3D and expense STOP this beats it all for value for money, also if you are a SKY customer you could get upto £400 off.

A very good point Phil, certainly Sky Atlantic isn't available on any of the other platforms which means that there are viewers that don't have access to it, but in general do you think it's a good idea to synchronise high profile content launches so that many viewers get access at the same time meaning that they don't need to download the shows from the internet?

Also what do you make of Virgin Media's attempts to land Sky Atlantic? Sky have said that they offered a fair price but Virgin Media declined...it's not the first time that the two have clashed over channels, Sky One a few years ago springs to mind!

More BS from Sky. You're hardly likely to cut piracy by denying a program to millions of Virgin Media subscribers! Where do you think they'll be watching? Certainly not by waiting for the DVD of Sky 3 reruns.

Since 1st April, my digital receiver has lost BBC1. If I rescan, it will find it. When I turn the machine off at night, the next morning it has disappeared again. I have to rescan every day.
