BT the telecommunications company behind the digital television service BT Vision has confirmed a new deal with the distributor Viacom International Media Networks that will see three brand new digital television channels added to the BT Vision service.
Under the new deal BT Vision customers will be able to watch MTV, Comedy Central and the kids entertainment channel Nickelodeon on the BT Vision digital television service.
The deal follows the deals that BT Vision have also recently signed which means that a range of digital television channels such as Universal Channel, SyFy, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, British Eurosport 1 and 2, National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, UKTV Gold, and Watch are all available on the BT Vision service.
Of the three brand new channels Comedy Central boasts shows such as Friends, Two and a Half Men, South Park, and Sex and the City. Comedy Central is hugely popular amongst 16 – 34 year olds and is the number one pay TV channel in the UK for this demographic.
Kids entertainment channel Nickelodeon features a wide range of kids entertainment including the ever popular Spongebob Squarepants. Nickelodeon currently broadcasts to 14 million homes in the UK. While MTV features a wide range of programming including Geordie Shore and the Valleys.
